Serving Greater Dallas since 2007

Who we are

In the 1990’s, Dr. Kevin Magee established one of the most successful maternal-fetal medicine practices in Dallas. After joining the faculty of the University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Magee eventually sold his clinic to a physician practice management firm.

Upon leaving academic medicine, his dream was to create a multidisciplinary practice focused exclusively on the management of high-risk pregnancies. This dream has now been realized at Fetal Care Center.

Since 2007, we have evaluated tens of thousands of high-risk pregnancies, and performed thousands of fetal surgeries.

Each staff member in our practice plays an integral role, working to achieve the best possible outcomes for your family. We also meet as often as needed to discuss your personalized care plan, related medical situations and any relevant research, including important studies such as the fetoscopic endoluminal tracheal occlusion (FETO) study.

This comprehensive care approach combines the talents of a diverse array of doctors, nurses and associated specialists to seamlessly coordinate your order of care, including diagnosis, treatment, postoperative recovery and follow-up appointments. While in our care, you and your child's care team may include:

  • Anesthesiologists
  • Fetal surgeons
  • Genetic counselors
  • Maternal-fetal specialists
  • Neonatal surgeons
  • Nurses
  • Obstetricians
  • Pediatric cardiologists
  • Radiologists

FETO study

As part of a clinical research study approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Medical City Children’s Hospital, we offer FETO treatment for babies with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). This condition prevents the diaphragm, the primary muscle of respiration, from fully developing.
