Patient referral details
If you and your baby require specialized care, your primary OB doctor must download and complete a new patient referral and consultation form on your behalf. Upon completion, they must fax it to (972) 566-5680. Please call (972) 566-5600 to schedule an urgent or same-day appointment.

What to expect during your visit
We realize that no one anticipates experiencing health issues at the start of a pregnancy. However, if this describes your situation, we offer a variety of support services so you're fully prepared for your baby’s delivery.
At the conclusion of your initial diagnostic appointment, we will send you home with assessment details to review, as you may need time to process them. We welcome any follow-up questions you may have.
Delivering your baby with us
If your unborn baby has a heart issue that requires pediatric surgery at our facility, our team will arrange all aspects of your care plan, including a tour of the Dallas campus. During this presurgical visit, you will meet with the neonatologist and pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon, both of whom will care for your baby after delivery at Medical City Children's Hospital.
For the benefit of your family's well-being, we may suggest that you spend the last few weeks of your pregnancy near our hospital. We are happy to make recommendations for lodging.
